God is always working...

I want to be real with you guys.

This post is about how our wonderful Savior answered some much needed prayers. So here goes...

Sunday afternoon, Leah and I hosted a food demonstration at Patchwork (local gift boutique) with Claire and Kay, sisters from Southern Sisters Gourmet. These two sisters were browsing the store and chatting with customers. They walked over to our jar display and began asking, "Is that a shirt in a jar!?" We told them they were and since they asked I began telling them the story behind the creation. The full story can be found HERE.

They were then asking if I had any interest in wholesale. I told them I had thought about the idea and had a couple of businesses contacting me to see if I would sell to them.

I had been praying about whether or not I should venture out to that side of business. I asked the Lord to plainly (cause He knows how stubborn I can be sometimes) to spell out His answer.

Claire and Kay both started telling me their experience with wholesale market shows and that the best show they have ever sold from what just down south in Biloxi, Mississippi. Kay went on to tell me everything to do...and what not to do at these type of shows. She later offered me contact info and suggested I call next day! I told her I would look into it.

As Lead and I closed the store that afternoon, we were super excited that we might be headed to Biloxi in January, but I mentioned I better get in gear if I was if I was going to be able to pay for a $750 booth fee. YES, 750 smack-a-roos!! For me, that kind of extra money is not just laying around anywhere. It meant I was going to have to get out there and sell, sell, sell...and sell some more! I took that as a sign that I needed to be offering wholesale.

Later that night, as I was saying my prayers I asked the Lord, if this is really what you want me to do, then please help me to come up with the booth fee.

Monday morning rolled around and I woke to the sound of my phone making the little "cha-ching" noise. I also had a ton of Facebook notifications and wondered what in the world is going on??? I opened my app to check it out, and low and behold Jennifer Allwood (the BEST business coach on the planet) has tagged my page in a post with her wearing one of my shirts! Eeekk! Talk about FAN GIRLIN'! I knew right then God had answered my prayers!

SIDE NOTE: If you have a business, and want to grow, whether you're just starting out or been in business for years. Jennifer will teach and share some of her success stories to help you better your business in the social media world! Check her business training out HERE!

I burst into praise...and tears! I then text my husband (wives and girlfriends, you know you can't call while your hubby is in the deer stand)  to tell him what has just happened. I then call my brother for backup, because I was getting so over whelmed (but in a good way!) By the end of the day I had the money to pay the booth fee.

God works wonders in our lives. No, this isn't a story where I tell you to ask God and you shall receive everything, exactly how you asked for it. God will answer your prayers, but it will be His way, in His timing. Know that when He does this, it will be for the best and He will bless you more than you could ever dream!

I praise God for sending Jennifer to better this opportunity and mission He has send my way. I'm so thankful I am able to wake up every morning and be creative while spreading the love and grace we have been blessed with!

Love you all,

RC
